Marshall Municipal Utilities (MMU) is seeking a dependable, reliable and detail-driven Payroll Specialist to join our team. This role handles payroll processing; reporting for taxes, retirement, and benefits; payroll and HR data entry; and more.
Key responsibilities include:
- Process and maintain payroll records with accuracy
- Review and reconcile payroll reports (taxes, retirement, benefits)
- Enter and manage data in payroll and HR systems
- Process direct deposits, deductions, garnishments, and COBRA billing
- Prepare state and federal payroll tax reports
- Answer employee questions about pay, taxes, benefits, and leave
- Prepare letters, reports, and confidential documents
