Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive electrical systems and schematics to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, powertrains, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, and other mechanical components.
- Service and maintain vehicles through oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, and vehicle maintenance checks.
- Repair and replace automotive electrical systems, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes, and other specialized systems.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical knowledge to execute repairs efficiently and safely.
- Read and interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electronic issues.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring vehicle safety standards are met or exceeded.
Experience
- Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a focus on dealership or similar environments.
- Strong background in automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems repair, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with diesel engine repair, heavy equipment mechanics, and auto estimating processes is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of GM vehicles or other specific makes is a plus but not required.
- Experience working with automotive electrical systems, transmissions, powertrains, and suspension systems is essential.
- Prior experience with ADAS calibration, wheel alignment technology, tire service, shocks & struts replacement is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and follow schematics accurately.
