MasTec Advanced Technologies is hiring Broadband Service Technicians to join our partnership with Gigapower in the Crestview, FL area (within about 35 minutes of the city).

Position Summary

As a Broadband Service Technician, you’ll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting residential fiber broadband services. This is a field-based position with daily travel to customer homes across the Crestview region.

Training Details

• Start Date: September 21, 2026
• Location: Pensacola, FL
• Pay During Training: $23/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Install and configure fiber broadband equipment in residential settings
• Identify and resolve connectivity or service issues
• Perform both indoor and outdoor installations following safety and quality standards
• Operate ladders, hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely
• Document service activities accurately
• Provide a professional and positive customer experience

Minimum Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Reside in Crestview, FL or within ~35 minutes of the service area
• Available to begin training on September 21, 2026
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and climb ladders up to 36 feet
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Must pass background, drug, and motor vehicle checks

Experience Needed

At least 8 months of prior hands-on work experience involving:

• Use of hand tools and/or power tools
• Ladder climbing and working at heights
• Physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting
• Following safety procedures
• Customer service interactions

Work Environment

• Daily travel across the Crestview service area
• Outdoor work in changing weather conditions
• Frequent use of ladders, tools, and protective gear
• Exposure to construction sites, pets, and varied job site conditions
