MasTec Advanced Technologies is growing and seeking Broadband Service Technicians to support our partnership with Gigapower in the Crestview, FL market.

Position Overview

As a Broadband Service Technician, you’ll install, maintain, and troubleshoot residential fiber broadband services for customers throughout the Crestview area. This is a field-based role that involves daily travel to customer locations within approximately 35 minutes of Crestview, FL.

Training Information

• Training Location: Pensacola, FL
• Training Pay: $23/hour

What You’ll Do

• Install fiber broadband equipment and related services in residential homes
• Diagnose and resolve service or connectivity issues
• Perform both indoor and outdoor installations while following quality and safety standards
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and testing equipment
• Accurately document completed jobs and service updates
• Deliver a positive customer experience during every appointment

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
• Reside in Crestview, FL or within ~35 minutes of the service area
• Available to begin training on September 21, 2026
• Able to lift up to 80 pounds regularly
• Comfortable climbing and carrying ladders up to 36 feet
• Willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Must successfully complete background, drug, and motor vehicle screenings

Experience Needed

This role requires prior hands-on work experience. Fiber optic experience is not required, but applicants should have at least 8 months of experience involving:

• Using hand tools and/or power tools
• Climbing and working from ladders
• Performing physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting
• Following workplace safety procedures
• Providing customer service

Work Environment

• Daily travel throughout the Crestview service area
• Outdoor work in changing weather conditions
• Frequent use of ladders, tools, and protective equipment
• Work around construction areas, pets, and varying job site conditions
