Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Role Overview: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides licensed nursing care to residents, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. They supervise certified nursing assistants, perform assessments, administer medications, and document care activities. The role involves maintaining a safe, clean environment and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver care as ordered by physicians, including vital signs, medication administration, and treatments.
• Supervise nursing assistants and ensure quality resident care.
• Complete assessments, review care plans, and document all activities accurately.
• Maintain safety standards, address hazards, and promote a hazard-free environment.
• Transcribe physician's orders and update resident charts accordingly.
• Participate in shift handovers and communicate effectively with team members.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Current LPN license and CPR certification.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt to a flexible work environment and follow infection control protocols.
• Preferred: 1 year of experience, especially in long-term care.
  
  

Physical & Other Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, lifting, and reaching; understanding safety standards; and basic computer skills.
