EMR Specialist

Role: Electronic Medical Record Specialist responsible for building, updating, maintaining, and optimizing the EMR application AthenaHealth, including training end-users and ensuring system security and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain applications across test, training, and production environments.
• Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders during build activities.
• Conduct testing, document results, and support change control processes.
• Provide training for users at all skill levels and communicate system updates effectively.
• Stay current with technological and regulatory standards impacting the EMR system.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills:

• High School diploma; Bachelor's preferred.
• Clinical background (e.g., MA, LPN, RN) preferred.
• Experience with AthenaHealth EMR required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with project management certification (e.g., CAPM, PMP) preferred.
• Strong communication skills and understanding of clinical workflows.
  
  

Additional Details: Full-time role requiring on-site presence, with flexibility for occasional travel. Must have strong verbal and written communication, good judgment, and the ability to operate computer and office equipment efficiently. The position involves working in a fast-paced, regulated medical environment and may include physical activity such as sitting, standing, and handling equipment.
