Trade Compliance Analyst/Specialist (contract)

Global Pharmaceutical Manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Trade Compliance contractor for a 3 -month engagement to support active workstreams across import/export operations, foreign trade zone (FTZ) administration, classification, and compliance program build-out. The contractor will work closely with the US Supply Chain team and partner with the OneSource (Thomson Reuters) implementation team on in-flight initiatives.
Scope of Work
- Denied Party Screening: Partner with our vendor on a project team to support the ongoing DPS implementation, and build out an internal audit program to validate screening coverage and recordkeeping.
- Duty Drawback: Identify drawback opportunities across PCC's import/export activity, develop and submit claims, and document the supporting recordkeeping framework.
- Trade Compliance Program: Help structure and document PCC's overall trade compliance program, including written policies, SOPs, roles and responsibilities, and audit cadence.
- Tariff and Duty Impact Analysis: Assess the impact of tariff policy changes (e.g., Section 232 pharmaceutical, country-specific actions) on PCC's portfolio and provide written summaries to support business decisions.
- HTS Product Classification: Complete and validate Harmonized Tariff Schedule classifications for product data being loaded into the SAP HANA environment.
Required Qualifications
- 5–7 years of US trade compliance experience with hands-on responsibility across import, and export.
- Demonstrated experience with HTS classification, duty drawback program development, and Denied Party Screening workflows.
- Experience with trade compliance technology platforms; (Global Trade Management) experience strongly preferred.
- Strong written documentation skills for SOPs, policies, and audit procedures.
A Plus
Licensed Customs Broker (LCB), Certified Customs Specialist (CCS), or Certified Export Specialist (CES) credential.
Pharmaceutical or regulated industry experience.
Working knowledge of SAP, ideally HANA, for material master and classification data.
Engagement Details
• Duration: 3 months, with potential extension based on workstream progress.
• Location: Bethlehem, PA – hybrid or on-site arrangement to be discussed.
• Reports To: Director, Supply Chain.
Salary : $40 - $50
