Functional Analyst
Onsite Role - Bronx, NY 10461
Tasks
- Maintain and support the existing Nursing scheduling tool, Clairvia
- Run reports and analyze scheduling and operational data
- Assign and manage user security access
- Perform daily updates to web and client applications
- Ensure daily HR imports from PeopleSoft are completed successfully
- Provide functional support and configuration expertise for ORACLE scheduling systems
- Participate in all testing phases, issue resolution, and integration activities involving Epic and PointClickCare
- Support scheduling implementations involving Clairvia, UKG, Ansos, or ORACLE scheduling systems
- Partner with Nursing and Operations personnel to support business operations, resolve issues, and respond to user inquiries
- Collaborate with peers, stakeholders, project managers, developers, consultants, and IT leadership to deliver business solutions
- Coordinate with EITS teams during system downtimes, SQL Server updates, and Epic upgrades
- Analyze and document business requirements, workflows, and business processes
- Conduct interviews, workshops, surveys, and stakeholder meetings to gather and validate requirements
- Create business, functional, and technical requirements documentation in accordance with organizational standards
- Translate business needs into technical specifications, process models, data flows, and interface requirements
- Define external interfaces, reporting requirements, constraints, and non-functional requirements
- Identify project risks, concerns, and ambiguities and assist project teams with mitigation strategies
- Facilitate meetings, workgroups, and follow-up activities with stakeholders and project teams
- Coordinate unit testing, user acceptance testing, and deployment activities
- Ensure software development and QA teams account for all documented requirements and quality standards
- Document software test plans, release notes, training materials, and change control updates
- Provide end-user support, troubleshooting, defect resolution, and systems training
- Mentor junior Business Analysts and support departmental training initiatives
- Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend strategic solutions
- Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned
Mandatory Requirements :
- Bachelor''''s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Business Administration, Economics/Statistics, Telecommunications, Data Communications, or a related field
- Minimum five years of progressive experience in data processing, computer systems, and applications
- Minimum three years of experience gathering and documenting business and/or functional requirements through interviews, workflow analysis, workshops, surveys, and business process analysis
- Experience supporting healthcare scheduling systems such as Clairvia, UKG, Ansos, or ORACLE scheduling platforms
- Experience supporting ORACLE scheduling configuration and functional operations
- Experience supporting integrations involving Epic and PointClickCare
- Ability to analyze business requirements and convert them into technical and functional documentation
- Experience coordinating testing activities, issue resolution, deployments, and change management processes
- Strong analytical, organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities simultaneously
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio and Project
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment
- Knowledge of systems analysis methodologies, data management, and enterprise applications
Desired
- Knowledge of ORACLE Cloud Scheduling
- Experience with PeopleSoft modules including Time and Labor, Human Resources, Payroll, Absence Management, Benefits, Human Capital Management, Finance, Security Administration, Systems Administration, or PeopleSoft Development
- Experience with EHR applications such as Epic and Allscripts
- Familiarity with healthcare applications including OnBase, Incident Management Systems, ERP systems, and related enterprise technologies
- Understanding of software development life cycle methodologies, Joint Application Development (JAD), and project management methodologies
- Healthcare industry experience, preferably within New York City Health and Hospitals
- Telecommunications or network services experience
- Supervisory or mentoring experience within Business Analysis or IT teams
- Broad knowledge of programming languages, hardware capabilities, communications systems, EDP applications, and data retrieval techniques
