Physiatry (PM&R) – Locum Tenens
Location: Fort Collins, CO.
Start Date: Immediate (flexible PRN).
Schedule: Wed–Fri weekly occasional weekend call; 4–8 days/month; days 7am–5pm; night call 5pm–7am.
Position Highlights
Setting: Adult Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit within a community hospital (PM&R is attending; rehab unit; access to hospital specialties; no hospitalist coverage on rehab patients)
Patient Volume: Average ~14/day; typical census 12–14; ~1–2 admissions/discharges per day (variable)
Support Staff: Access to full hospital specialty services; team of 7 PM&R physicians; low call census and minimal callback reported
EMR System: Epic (Hospital)
Responsibilities
Provide PM&R-focused care to adult inpatients on the rehab unit
Perform core inpatient rehabilitation services and manage medically complex patients
Participate in rounding, admissions, and discharges
Collaborate with on-site clinical and administrative staff across hospital services
Requirements
Board Certification: Board Certified (required)
State License: Active Colorado license or active IMLC (required)
DEA License: Required
Experience: Inpatient rehab experience preferred
Compensation & Logistics
Rate: Hourly (bill rates submitted at presentation), plus travel and lodging
Travel: Flights reimbursed up to $750 round-trip cap; car rental reimbursed (economy cap); mileage at IRS standard
Housing: Lodging reimbursed up to $150/night before taxes and fees
Malpractice: Provided
