About The Role
As the Executive Director, Development and Operations you will serve as the senior leader for the organization, responsible for driving all of the fundraising and marketing strategies and overseeing day-to-day operations. Key Responsibilities
In This Role, You Will
- Develop and implement a fundraising strategy to include individual, corporate and foundation giving
- Plan all fundraising and donor/partner prospect events
- Develop and manage organizational messaging, communications and marketing to include social media, e-newsletters and eblasts, website updates, blog articles, one pagers, etc – with support of a contractual communications/marketing consultant
- Manage and collaborate with the Community Outreach Coordinator (FTE) to build out a volunteer training and engagement plan, and identify and engage partners and events for swab drives and educational presentations
- Serve as spokesperson for the organization to include presentations and media interviews
- Manage the budget and serve as a member of the Finance Committee
- Be responsible for all accounts receivables and payables
- Manage all vendors and contracts including bookkeeping, employee benefits, office lease, cybersecurity and software tools
- Work with the Board to develop and implement an annual work plan
- College degree in communications, marketing or business
- 8 years of experience in fundraising and marketing
- 2 years of experience in a nonprofit leadership role
- Deep understanding of nonprofit operations and financial structure
- Experience working with a Board of Directors
- Strong analytical, organization, communication and time-management skills with the ability to multitask, adapt and pivot to challenges or changes and manage competing priorities
- Basic knowledge of HR and accounting principles, and nonprofit and governance best practices
- Familiarity with fundraising and marketing tools including CRMs, donor management software, design software such as Canva and photo editing, and Microsoft Office
