Job Overview
Here at Marvelous Support Inc. we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will need to able to inspire individuals to be as independent as possible and be passionate about assisting individuals with their daily living activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Administer medication to individuals under the supervision of delegating nurse
- Driving individuals to participate in community activities
- Engage individuals in recreational activities and social interactions
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for the individuals under care
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of the individuals
Requirements
- Previous experience
- Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- CMT and CPR certified
- General DDA training
- Mandt training
- Bloodborne Pathogen
