Join our Marketing Team as a Marketing Assistant located in our New York City office.
We are seeking a detail-oriented marketing professional who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and possesses strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. This individual should have a strong work ethic, a can-do attitude, and the ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys, colleagues, and external contacts. A willingness to take initiative, adapt to changing priorities, and contribute creative ideas is essential to success in this role.
This role will be based in our New York City office on a hybrid basis and will report to the Marketing Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Supports the Marketing Manager in the execution of the firm’s marketing, communications, and business development initiatives.
- Assists with the preparation and distribution of marketing materials, including newsletters, press releases, client alerts, invitations, and seminar materials.
- Coordinates client events, seminars, webinars, and sponsorship opportunities, including invitations, registrations, logistics, and on-site support.
- Assists with the development and maintenance of attorney biographies, practice descriptions and website content.
- Coordinates attorney participation in profile-raising opportunities, including directory submissions, speaking engagements, awards, and public relations efforts.
- Assists with submissions for legal directories and rankings, including Best Lawyers, Super Lawyers, and other industry publications.
- Maintains the firm’s marketing databases, contact lists, and mailing lists, ensuring information remains accurate and up to date.
- Assists with the preparation of pitches, proposals, presentations, and other business development materials.
- Supports attorney onboarding and provides general administrative and project support to the Marketing Department.
- Collaborates with attorneys, vendors, and internal departments to ensure the timely completion of marketing initiatives and special projects.
- Tracks deadlines, maintains marketing calendars, and assists with day-to-day department operations.
- Performs additional marketing and administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred)
- Two years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, or business development preferred
- Experience in a law firm or other professional services environment preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Self-starter who works well independently or as part of a team.
- Strong prioritization, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as
- Canva, LinkedIn, and email marketing platforms such as Constant Contact.
- Adaptable and effective in a fast-paced environment, even under pressure.
- Comfortable interfacing with all levels of staff and external clients.
- Sharp attention to detail.
Target Salary Range $50,000 - $60,000
Salaries vary by location and are based on numerous factors, including, but not limited to, the relevant market, skills, experience, and education of the selected candidate. Our compensation package also includes bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits program.
