What are the responsibilities and job description for the Literary Outreach Assistant and Internship w/ Produced Writer position at DISRUPT1VE Marketing?
Company Description
DISRUPT1VE Marketing is a dynamic, forward-thinking organization dedicated to innovative and impactful marketing strategies that disrupt traditional approaches. We prioritize creativity, strategic thinking, and community engagement to help our clients achieve their goals. Our team is committed to fostering meaningful connections and elevating brands to new heights through fresh ideas and personalized solutions.
I'll be honest — when I first got into the film and TV industry, I wasn't sure it was for me either.
What changed my mind wasn't the industry itself. It was learning the "business of the business"—the unseen infrastructure of spreadsheets, agency relationships, and strategic follow-ups that actually gatekeep the literary world.
Now I am growing my slate as a produced playwright and screenwriter — and I'm looking for a motivated, coachable "Literary Right Hand" ready to learn how the industry actually works.
About the Role
This is best suited for people who already understand:
→ Organizing deep-dive research databases
→ Managing professional email outreach
→ Fluent use of Google Suite and Notion
→ The importance of discretion with sensitive info
→ Staying consistent with 5–10 hours of weekly activity
What We Provide
✅ 1-on-1 mentorship — weekly sessions to review your own scripts or plays
✅ Access to my script library — 400 professional stage and screen scripts
✅ Insider network — access to my database of producers, agents, and managers
✅ Professional reference — a recommendation that carries industry weight
✅ Flexible scheduling — 100% remote work
✅ Industry education — learn the mechanics of getting a script/film produced... that film school doesn't teach
✅ Growth potential — opportunity to transition into a full-time role
What We're Looking For
→ Background in or willingness to learn professional screenwriting
→ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
→ Professional communication and "literary" etiquette
→ Ability to maintain total confidentiality
Backgrounds That Transition Well
Film Studies · English Literature · Creative Writing · Journalism · Communications · Administrative Assistance
This is an unpaid assistant and outreach internship focused on literary management and business operations. This is a 5–10 hour per week commitment with 1–2 hours of direct mentorship included.
