The Teller/Member Services Representative (MSR) serves as the face of the credit union by delivering high-quality, personalized service to members. This dual-role position requires an individual who is comfortable processing routine financial transactions while also assisting with a wide variety of member services. A Teller/MSR is expected to exhibit professionalism, accuracy, and integrity while embodying the credit union's mission of improving the financial lives of its members.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Responsibilities
Teller Functions:
- Process a variety of financial transactions including but not limited to: Deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan and credit card payments, cash advances, money orders, and cashier’s checks
- Balance cash drawer daily and adhere to cash handling procedures
- Identify and report discrepancies, suspected fraud, or security concerns
- Maintain confidentiality of member information and transactional data
- Cross-sell credit union products and services at the teller line
- Open new accounts, including checking, savings, certificates, IRAs, and club accounts
- Assist members with account maintenance: address changes, name changes, account titling, etc.
- Order debit cards, process wire transfers, and enroll members in digital banking
- Educate members on available services and promote usage (e.g., mobile banking, e-statements)
- Assist with fraud reporting, disputes, and account security concerns
- Make outbound calls to follow up with members or promote new offerings.
- Respond promptly and professionally to member inquiries in person, by phone, or email
- Compliance and Operations:
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations (e.g., BSA, OFAC, Reg CC) and credit union policies
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, documentation, and correspondence
- Participate in internal audits, operational checklists, and required trainings.
- Monitor and protect sensitive member data and secure workstations and cash drawers
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior teller, banking, or cash handling experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Team-oriented with a willingness to support co-workers and branch goals
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital systems; ability to learn new software
