The Li Laboratory in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join an NIH-funded research program investigating the molecular mechanisms by which Na⁺/K⁺-ATPase (sodium pump) signaling and sex hormones regulate thrombosis, vascular inflammation, and cardiovascular disease.The successful candidate will work in a collaborative and multidisciplinary research environment focused on cardiovascular biology, vascular inflammation, and thrombotic disease.This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, at-will position.The successful candidate will complete a three-month probationary period before transitioning to an annual appointment, contingent upon satisfactory performance and continued funding.The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative research team.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.· Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.Experience working with laboratory animals, particularly mice.Demonstrated experience with standard molecular and cellular biology techniques, including PCR, quantitative PCR, Western blotting, immunohistochemistry/immunofluorescence, molecular cloning, co-immunoprecipitation, and related methods.Experience in mammalian cell culture, transient or stable gene transfection, and functional cellular assays.Proficiency with ImageJ/Fiji, GraphPad Prism, Adobe Creative Cloud (e.g., Illustrator and Photoshop), and other scientific data analysis, visualization, and data management software.
