The Welder/Fabricator supports the University’s Facilities and Operations team by providing skilled welding and fabrication services for a variety of campus infrastructure and equipment.
This position is responsible for performing maintenance, repair, and fabrication of metal structures, tools, furniture, equipment, and facility components for all of Operations.
The welder/fabricator ensures that all work meets safety and quality standards while supporting the campus’s mission of maintaining a safe, functional, and attractive learning environment. Work is performed in the field and in the shop, with coordination across departments.
Location MU - Marshall University Salary Range $38,722 - $44,531 Salary is commensurate on education, experience, and internal equity Salary Grade 4 Salary Type Salary Time Type Full-Time

Required Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma, GED, or higher
Experience
2 Years Welding/Fabricating, Experienced in MIG, TIG, stick, and oxy-acetylene welding
Preferred Qualifications
Education
Welding Certification (AWS, ASME, API or equivalent)
