A day in the life.
As our MEBS TPA Client Service Representative I on the MMA National Team, you’ll provide responsive service for information inquiries for Flexible Spending Accounts, Health Reimbursement Arrangements, Transportation Spending Accounts and Health Saving Account (HSA) Plan. Representatives may be required to research and resolve issues related to benefits. Colleagues will build and maintain rapport with clients and work collegially as a supportive member of the production team for the benefit of the clients and internal partners. You’ll maintain open, effective communication and timely follow-up.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Take ownership and accountability to address and resolve client questions and issues, working toward a first call, first email or letter resolution, whenever possible. Maintain proper documentation on coverage, eligibility and exceptions. Document customer contact completely within client management system. Ensure all business results (quality, production, and time service) meet standards. Maintain daily client management functions in system applications, as required. Keep abreast of system functionality, industry related regulations as it pertains to Health Insurance Portabili
The Accountant will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information, and supporting various compliance and reporting activities within the team.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

We will count on you to:
- Manage the monthly closing process, including flash reporting and commentary, in collaboration with the Accounting Operations (AO) in KL and the Centre of Excellence (COE) in Mumbai.
- Conduct variance analysis and review account reconciliations, journal entries, and balance sheet analyses to ensure timely resolution of exceptional items.
- Support audits and act as the primary liaison with internal and external auditors, ensuring compliance with SOX controls and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee quarterly tax submissions and ensure adherence to local statutory and tax accounting and reporting.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to support finance operating requirements and resolve operational matters.
- Participate in projects affecting the department and its processes, responding to ad hoc requests for financial information and operational analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 8-15 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a multinational corporation and the insurance industry.
- Strong knowledge of SOX, US GAAP, Financial Reporting Standards in Singapore, and Singapore tax regulations.
- Experience in managing compliance and regulatory audits.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Previous experience in project management and process improvement initiatives.
