As our Senior Operations Specialist on the McGriff Specialty Team, you’ll provide guidance to teammates across the retail insurance organization, and to 3rd party vendors, in order to support firm growth and success. You’ll manage projects geared toward meeting operational goals, adding efficiency, and driving excellence in client service and agency operations.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $74,600 to $139,100.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.

This opportunity involves managing a portfolio of Workers Compensation claims. This role requires the Senior Claims consultant to deliver high quality claims management services, working collaboratively with the clients and our broader claims team to produce cost effective outcomes for the scheme. In turn, this brings the best outcome and timely settlement of claims.

- College Degree or equivalent education, training and work-related experience
- P&C Insurance License
- Business insurance experience
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to act with responsiveness, urgency and professionalism in all matters while prioritizing responsibilities and proactively accomplishing goals
- Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Knowledge of insurance specific systems and applications

- Deal efficiently with the client enquiries
- Contribute to planning and delivery of relationship management through regular and constructive communications with clients
- Visit clients and legal providers regularly
- Provide end-to-end claims management
- Submit claims reports as required
- Continuously work towards professional development by attending external and internal sessions
- Ensure compliance with Worker Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981, including the Principle and Standards as set out by the Regulator.
- Knowledge and insurance claims experience in Workers Compensation and claims
- Experience in the interpretation of relevant acts in making liability decisions
- Management of complex claims
- Demonstrate initiative and understanding when managing confidential information.
- Strong communications, personable and stakeholder management skills
- Computer literacy, including intermediate skills in MS Excel, Outlook & Word
- Good negotiation skills and ability to influence positive outcomes
- Self-motivation and organisational skills essential
- Ability to plan and work independently and prioritise workloads
- Ability to lead where appropriate.
