As a Shelter Program Account Manager, the goal is to drive, convert, and service shelters in the Mars Adopt a Pet Shelter Plus program with excellence. Using deep understanding of shelter operations and challenges, you will lead business development by recruiting, onboarding, and supporting new shelters. The Shelter Program Account Manager will also build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with existing shelter accounts, ensuring their satisfaction and engagement with our holistic program and food delivery services. As a trusted advisor, you will provide tailored solutions that meet shelter needs and foster long-term partnerships.

What are we looking for?
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field
- Previous experience in the Veterinary or Animal Welfare space
- 2 years’ experience in sales and managing accounts
- Experience with Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- A passion for making a better world for pets
- Relationships and understanding of the Shelter & Rescue Network (experience with Shelters preferred)
- Passionate about serving and working across the Mars Ecosystem including pet nutrition, veterinary care, & diagnostics
- 50% travel required
Business Development:
- Utilize your experience and insight into shelter pain points and opportunities to engage shelters and manage all aspects of the recruiting, onboarding, training, and implementing the Shelter Plus program. Achieve the following KPI: Recruit and onboard 25 new shelters annually to the Shelter Plus program.
- Maintain satisfaction and overall participation with existing shelters: Establish trust and rapport with shelter management and staff and ensure that the holistic program and food delivery meet their expectations. Serve as a credible advisor, offering solutions grounded in your firsthand understanding of shelter operations. Meet the following KPI: 80% retention rate of shelter contracts.
