Industrial Mechanic Responsibilities
- Ensure and improve the reliability, performance, and longevity of equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and address detected mechanical anomalies.
- Install machinery and equipment; detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Participate in the selection of equipment for various projects.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company EHS guidelines during the installation and operation of new equipment.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement instrumentation and connectivity improvements for equipment.
- Evaluate, recommend, and participate in automation projects across operations.
- Actively manage preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Strong knowledge in Pneumatic systems, Hydraulic systems.
- Ability to effectively and efficiently Assemble and disassemble machine parts and adjust and align mechanical components.
- General knowledge of electrical systems
Industrial Mechanic Qualifications
- Preferred: Degree in Industrial Mechanics or Electromechanics or equivalent.
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Willingness to wear required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety shoes.
- Successful completion of criminal background check
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
- Experience with assembly and disassembly and handling heavy equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrated ingenuity, dynamism, resourcefulness, and ability to work autonomously.
- Tolerance for exposure to visual elements and industrial odors.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain effective internal and external working relationships.
