A day in this role
You arrive, grab your work orders, and make a quick pass through the plant to ensure equipment is ready for production. Mid-morning, you’re called to perform an emergency repair on a critical machine; you isolate the issue using the PLC interface, confirm the fault against the electrical and pneumatic schematics, swap components, and bring the line back up. In the afternoon, you rebuild a worn assembly on a CNC cell, then fine-tune a pneumatic circuit before finishing with a robotics fault trace to keep automation humming round-the-clock.
What you’ll tackle
- Execute emergency machine repairs across the facility and rebuild equipment to restore performance.
- Interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics (including symbols) and take corrective action efficiently.
- Use PLC operation and interfaces to diagnose and resolve machine faults.

- Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
