We're looking for a dependable, hardworking, and customer-focused Maintenance Associate to help maintain the appearance, safety, and functionality of our apartment community. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in their surroundings, and wants to build a career in property maintenance.
As a Maintenance Associate, you will play an important role in creating a clean, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for our residents. No extensive maintenance experience is required. We are willing to train the right candidate who has a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
Schedule
- Full-time
- 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM depending on property assignment
- Monday through Friday
What You'll Do
The Maintenance Associate supports both property appearance and basic maintenance operations throughout the community.
Property Grounds & Community Upkeep
- Pick up trash and debris throughout the property.
- Maintain clean and organized dumpster and trash compactor areas.
- Clean breezeways, sidewalks, parking areas, and common spaces.
- Change bags and maintain pet waste stations.
- Assist with snow and ice removal during winter weather.
- Help ensure the community maintains excellent curb appeal and cleanliness standards.
Maintenance Support
- Assist with routine maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Complete basic repairs and work orders under the guidance of maintenance team members.
- Help maintain building systems, equipment, and common areas.
- Identify potential maintenance concerns and report them promptly.
- Assist with special projects and community improvement initiatives as needed.
Resident Service
- Provide friendly, professional service to residents, guests, and vendors.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and courteous manner.
- Help create a positive living experience through quality work and attention to detail.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Previous maintenance, construction, or grounds experience is helpful but not required.
- Ability to read and follow work orders, instructions, and safety procedures.
- Comfortable using basic hand tools, power tools, and property equipment.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude with a customer-service mindset.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
Physical Requirements
This is an active position requiring both indoor and outdoor work. Candidates must be able to:
- Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and work in various positions.
- Walk the property for extended periods.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
- Safely operate maintenance tools and equipment.
