In order to reinforce our growth plans in North America, Marposs Corporation has an opening for a Field Service Engineer.
Reporting to the North American Service & Repair Manager, the position will provide support for direct sales, distributors, OEM’s and end users in the quotation, application design, installation and launch of machine tool probing and monitoring products/systems.
Qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Analyzes customer’s needs and specifications and prepares quotations for CNC machine tool touch probe and monitoring systems.
- Provides technical support in person, by phone and/or email to key distributors, company employees (worldwide) and end users.
- Provides technical support to Sales Engineers
- Reports in writing all customer visit trip information and results.
- Follows up on all projects in a timely manner.
- Follows-up during the launch of new products for installation, software and troubleshooting with Marposs SpA as liaison to resolve issues.
- Troubleshoots customer problems by phone, if necessary, travels to customer job site with service personnel to resolve the issue
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for
- Four-year degree in Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering
- Previous experience with CNC programming, PLC, and schematics with respect to CNC and Machine Tool Industry preferred.
- A good driving record is essential.
- Travels approximately 40% to 50% of the time.
- This individual should be self-motivated and able to accomplish tasks with little supervision.
