Utility Foreman

What you'll do

- Run a crew day to day on underground utility and wastewater jobs, including water main, gravity sewer, force main, storm and lift station work

- Plan the day's work with the superintendent and project manager, and keep the job on schedule and on plan

- Read and work from plans, specs and grade sheets

- Lead safety on site: morning tailgate talks, trench and excavation safety, traffic control, and reporting incidents or near misses right away

- Keep track of equipment, trucks, materials and daily reports

- Coordinate with inspectors, owners' reps, subs and locators

- Train and mentor crew members, and hold the crew to Marolf's quality and safety standards

What we're looking for

- 3 years running crews in underground utility, site work or wastewater construction

- Strong plan-reading skills, and a good feel for grade and pipe laying

- Experience with excavators, loaders and trench boxes

- OSHA 10 required, OSHA 30 preferred

- Competent Person for excavation, or willing to get certified

- Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets our insurance requirements. A CDL is a plus.

- Clear communicator who can lead a crew and keep the paperwork straight
