Goodnow (K - 5): 8:15am - 1:45pm (includes prep time)

Compensation:
$5,000 stipend
Organizational Relationships:
Reports to the Summer School Building Administrator, Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning, and Summer Supervisor of K-5 Intervention Program
Statement of Duties:
- Plan, prepare for, and conduct academic experiences for students enrolled in the program.
- Requires co-planning and co-teaching with EL teachers
- Maintain student attendance and submit to Summer Building Administrator at the conclusion of the summer program.
- Promote learning and growth of all students providing high-quality instruction, authentic and meaningful student assessments, analyzing student data, using data to improve instruction, continuously providing students with constructive feedback, and continuously refining learning objectives.
- Maintains instructional practices that establish high expectations, create a safe and effective learning environment, and demonstrate cultural proficiency.
- Effectively partner with families, caregivers, community members, and organizations to promote learning.
- Maintains an ethical, culturally proficient, skilled, and collaborative practice as a professional educator.
- Communicates with families.
- Responsible for other general duties as indicated by the building administrator, directives of the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee, and policies of the Marlborough School Committee.
Qualifications:
- Licensed by the Department of Elementary & Secondary Education (DESE) as a Teacher for grades teaching in the summer
- Bachelor’s or higher earned academic degree
- Ability to effectively communicate in Spanish and/or Portuguese a plus but not required
