Description:
Leominster Public Schools Summer Academy 2026
Current Kindergarten through current fifth grade LPS students
Position:
- Classroom Teachers and Specialists (STEM/PE, MUSIC)
- Four weeks (up to 20 hours a week) - Contractual Hourly Rate ($50) Summer Academy
- Audience: Kindergarten (Current K) through Fifth Grade (Current 5th)
- Dates/Times offered - Set up where the classrooms will be available on June 25th 9am - 2pm. (Up to 5 hours of prep at $40 an hour) Attendance recommended
- Program runs - July 6th - July 30th - (M-Th- 730am - 12:30pm) * Attendance for all four weeks is strongly encouraged.
Responsibilities:
- Up to five hours in June required for pre-planning/set up of classroom with On-Site Coordinator at Contractual Hourly Rate ($40)
- Provide academic instruction drawing on current Elementary School curriculum such as Fundations, IM Math, iREADY supplemental materials, etc.
- Establish and implement theme based Humanities and STEM project-based activities weekly
- Monitor, document and report students weekly attendance
- Maintain daily communication with coordinator regarding student and classroom progress
- Collaborate with FSU reading specialists interns
$50/hour contractual rate for student facing work.
Report to: On-Site Coordinator and Administrator - Jeanine Boulay, Administrator of Teaching and Learning
