About The Human Resources Generalist
MarketStar is looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our People Success team to based in Ogden, UT. In this position, you will serve as a frontline advisor and HR administrator, partnering closely with employees and managers to align HR processes and solutions with evolving business needs. You will ensure that HR processes are executed accurately and in compliance with company policies and employment laws, while also serving as a trusted resource for employee questions and needs. With a strong focus on service and collaboration, the HR Generalist will help create a consistent, positive employee experience and support the day-to-day operations of the broader HR team.
Location: Ogden, UT – Hybrid

About The Human Resources Generalist
MarketStar is looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our People Success team to based in Ogden, UT. In this position, you will serve as a frontline advisor and HR administrator, partnering closely with employees and managers to align HR processes and solutions with evolving business needs. You will ensure that HR processes are executed accurately and in compliance with company policies and employment laws, while also serving as a trusted resource for employee questions and needs. With a strong focus on service and collaboration, the HR Generalist will help create a consistent, positive employee experience and support the day-to-day operations of the broader HR team.
Location: Ogden, UT – Hybrid
What Will You Do?
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions related to policies, benefits, leaves, and general HR inquiries.
- Administer and coordinate day-to-day HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, and employee life cycle changes.
- Maintain and update employee records in HRIS systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal processes and regulatory standards.
- Partner with managers on headcount tracking, job requisition approvals, and internal mobility.
- Prepare and analyze HR reports, dashboards, and metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
- Administer and track leave of absences, ensuring accurate documentation, timely communication, and compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Assist with compliance audits, recordkeeping, and employment law updates across relevant jurisdictions.
- Contribute to company culture initiatives and employee engagement programs.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects to streamline HR workflows and enhance employee experience.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 2 years of progressive HR experience; experience supporting HR functions in industries such as BPO, contact centers, or sales teams is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources in related field or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
- Experience using HRIS platforms; Workday experience preferred.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability for judgment, planning, time management, communication, decision making, presentation, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of HR principles and best practices, with a working knowledge of employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, FLSA, ADA, EEO, wage and hour, health and safety).
- Able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel or other tools for reporting and data analysis.
- Ability to manage projects and initiatives from inception to completion.
- Strong service mindset with a consultative approach to supporting employees and leaders.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust across diverse teams.
