Facility Support/Utility

The Facility Support Coordinator supports daily facility operations by managing non-inventory supplies, coordinating material handling activities, maintaining recycling programs, and providing general warehouse and facility support. This position helps ensure the facility remains organized, efficient, safe, and adequately stocked to support production and operational needs.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Supply and Inventory Management

• Maintain and monitor inventory levels on non-inventory supplies needed for facility operations.
• Stock and distribute supplies to designated storage locations and departments.
• Initiate replenishment requests and maintain clean, organized storage areas.
• Manage electrolyte inventory and freezer stock, including proper rotation and availability.
• Maintain safe storage and handling practices for materials, supplies, and equipment.
  
  
  

Material Handling and Warehouse Support

• Receive and unload incoming pallet shipments and maintenance-related deliveries.
• Verify received items and sign for deliveries as required.
• Organize pallet inventory and maintain appropriate stock levels.
• Separate, sort, and stage damaged and reusable pallets.
  
  
  

Recycling and Waste Management

• Oversee cardboard, pallet, and plastic recycling activities.
• Monitor recycling trailers to prevent overloading and coordinate pickups or exchanges as needed.
• Prepare, secure, weigh, and document recyclable material loads accurately.
• Support facility waste collection and disposal processes.
  
  
  

Facility Operations Support

• Provide backup support for housekeeping, trash collection, cardboard removal, and recycling activities.
• Operate floor-cleaning equipment, including industrial sweepers.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout the facility.
• Assist with special projects and other facility support tasks as assigned.
• Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and required work practices.
• Report safety concerns, damaged equipment, or operational issues promptly.
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Ability to operate, forklifts, floor sweepers, and other material-handling equipment.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple responsibilities, and respond to changing operational needs.
  
  
  

Supervision Received:

Works with minimal supervision. Issues and concerns need to be communicated to the supervisor.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Prior experience in warehouse, facility, maintenance, inventory, or logistics operations preferred.
• Strong organizational, inventory control, and time-management skills.
• Basic computer, communication, and recordkeeping skills.
  
  
  

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting: Frequently raises objects from a lower to a higher position or moves objects horizontally from position to position. Weight is often more than 50 lbs.
• Push/Pull: Frequently uses upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion. Weight is often more than 50 lbs.
• Reaching: Extends hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Weight is often more than 50 lbs.
• Stooping: Bends body downward and forward at the waist. Weight is often more than 50 lbs.
• Standing: Standing for sustained periods at a time.

Manual dexterity is needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.

Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.
