Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting baked goods, ensuring excellent service at all times
• Package baked items efficiently and accurately, maintaining presentation standards and food safety protocols
• Prepare baked goods on the counter by slicing, decorating cakes, or assembling pastries as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace by regularly cleaning counters, utensils, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and knives safely and effectively during food production processes
• Follow recipes precisely to ensure consistency in baked goods and pastry preparation
• Support high-volume production by preparing large quantities of baked items while adhering to food safety management practices

Skills

• Strong food handling skills with knowledge of bakery safety standards and proper hygiene practices
• Experience in cake decorating, pastry preparation, and food production techniques
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a busy environment
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing inventory levels
• Proficiency in packaging baked goods attractively for display or sale
• Previous experience in the food industry or culinary setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
