Position Overview
The Business Admin Support handle tasks that allow the salesperson(s) to focus on driving sales. They maintain day-to-day communication with both retailer teams and supplier partner contacts, often providing the initial response to emails, phone calls, or written correspondence. This role also includes reviewing and analyzing Point-of-Sale (POS) data to help inform business decisions and support overall account needs.
In addition to sales support, this position assists with general office functions, including greeting guests, managing incoming phone calls, and receiving packages (typically supplier partner samples).
This is a full-time, in-office position based in Grand Rapids, MI.

Key Responsibilities
- Store Visits
- Conduct store visits, including but not limited to Meijer, Target, Walmart, and Walgreens.
- Photograph displays and planograms (POGs).
- Promotional Tracking
- Track promotions to confirm they are running as planned and that offers are accurate.
- Sample Purchasing
- Purchase samples on an as-needed basis.
- Mock-Up Creation
- Create mock-ups for the Meijer simulation store and for meetings.
- Office Supply Maintenance
- Maintain office supplies, including coffee, milk, water, etc.
- Sample Receiving
- Check in all samples that arrive at the office.
- Store samples in an organized and easily accessible manner.
- Storage Room Organization
- Keep the storage room organized and dispose of outdated samples, pending approval from sales managers.
- Meijer System Item Maintenance
- Periodically review all items to ensure consistent naming and that all required information is available.
- Maintain a list of items that need to be set up online and work with sales managers to request or obtain missing information.
- Serve as the point person for updates to CFP and online images.
- Planogram and Item Maintenance – Meijer Simulation Store
- Reset planograms to the current state prior to upcoming reviews.
- Periodically review planograms for UPC accuracy and swap out mock-ups with live samples as needed.
- Work through sales managers for any updates, changes, or sample requests.
- Meeting Preparation
- Stay up to date on upcoming meetings (both in-office and at Meijer) and coordinate with sales managers on meeting needs, including supplies, samples, and food and beverage requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- You’re highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage samples, planograms, store visits, and meeting prep while keeping office operations running smoothly.
- You communicate proactively and professionally, building strong relationships with retailer teams, supplier partners, and internal sales managers through timely responses and dependable support.
- You take initiative and solve problems independently, whether tracking promotional accuracy, reviewing POS data, preparing mock-ups, or identifying gaps in item maintenance and store execution.
