Position Overview
This Business Operations Support role would take on a variety of responsibilities to allow our sales team(s) to more closely connect with key decision makers. Business Operations Support maintain day-to-day contact with both the retailer staff and supplier partner staff. They will often be the first point of contact in receiving questions about new and existing products along with inquiries into retailer specific systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter/Maintain information across client and customer proprietary systems
- Responds to questions from new and existing clients, customers, and other personnel regarding error corrections, items and inventory, meetings, promotional requests, POG deadlines and other related questions
- Provides support on various projects and related tasks, to include, creating PowerPoint slides, formatting, and creating Excel files, updating dashboards, .com setup, and pricing/UPC changes
- Assumes responsibilities for other Business Operations Support within the department when unavailable
- Creates, enters and updates purchasing related information (e.g. accounting deals, product returns, POs, item set-up, display set-up) using various systems/tools
- Reviews and researches information contained in information provided by the Sales team (e.g. overlapping accounting agreements, discontinued products, cost changes, customer complaints) to correct any errors and make recommendations on corrections needed
- Maintains processes on new item submissions, website listing maintenance, POG deadlines, spreadsheets, client and retailer information
- Set and attend meetings (take notes, follow-up, organize, track deadlines)
- Trains new Business Operations Support on job functions, as needed
Required Experience and Education
- Minimum - High School Diploma/GED and at least 1 year experience in a retail sales environment.
- Preferred – College Degree or 3 years in a retail sales environment
- Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
- Experience with MS Office & Teams
- Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
