Tax Return Preparer – Marina Pointe, LLP
Location: Summerlin Area
Employment Type: Full-time (On-Site)
Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in a tax environment.
About the Role
Marina Pointe, LLP, is seeking a well-rounded person, an accountant who understands bookkeeping and how that data interacts with the tax return preparation. The person should have been exposed to, and experienced in, the preparation process related to 1040s, 1065s, and 1120s. The ideal candidate understands the pace and expectations of the tax field and is comfortable with longer hours during peak season.
Responsibilities
- Prepare individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120), related to high-net-worth individuals and their related entities.
- Be able to review financial data and supporting documents and incorporate that data into the tax returns and financial statements.
- Assist with tax planning and compliance tasks
- Work efficiently during high-volume periods
- Once comfortable with the above, communicate with clients as needed regarding related matters.
Qualifications
- 2 years preparing 1040s, 1065s, and 1120s
- Strong reading skills to review and understand related tax codes and how that information relates to client matters.
- Ability to handle deadlines and extended hours during tax season; Feb. 15 thru April 15th and Aug. 15th thru Oct. 15th.
- Strong accuracy and organizational skills
- Experience with GoSystem tax software preferred; experience with BNA Income Tax Planner is a plus.
