Bachelor Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred. Must hold or be eligible for Georgia certification.
Experience:
Administrative experience including master scheduling, Student Information System (SIS) management, and state reporting compliance.
JOB SUMMARY:
Serves as the district manager and policy administrator for the Student Information System (SIS), partnering with district administrators, directors, principals, and school registrars to ensure the accuracy and integrity of student data, including records and class schedules, in alignment with district and state policies. Supports schools in meeting all state reporting deadlines while maintaining high standards of data quality. Leads the development and implementation of processes for student scheduling, allotment determination, and the strategic maximization of district FTE, while collaborating with and guiding school counselors and scheduling administrators in creating master schedules that leverage legislative flexibility and align with the district’s charter.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prompt and Regular Attendance.
- Serves as the district manager and policy administrator for the Student Information System (SIS), ensuring the accuracy, integrity, security, and compliance of all student data while coordinating with IT and central office departments.
- Leads the design and implementation of strategic scheduling and allotment models that maximize student achievement and district FTE, while optimizing resource utilization and aligning staffing, projections, and budgeting decisions. Oversees the development, communication, and maintenance of district allotment guidelines and school-based departmental allotment sheets in collaboration with Finance and Human Resources.
- Serves as the district’s scheduling expert, partnering with school and district leadership to develop student-centered master schedules within the SIS that reflect local priorities, legislative flexibility, and district goals, while providing ongoing support during yearly and semester scheduling cycles.
- Oversees all state and federal reporting processes by establishing data entry protocols, timelines, and quality standards; ensures FTE, Student Class, and Student Record data are completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner to the Georgia Department of Education (GADOE).
- Manages SIS-related systems, including but not limited to registration, ensuring system functionality, data governance, and effective use across district programs and databases.
- Analyzes system data and reporting outputs, collaborates with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues, and drives continuous improvement through the implementation of best-in-industry practices in SIS management and scheduling.
- Provides leadership, training, and ongoing professional development for district and school personnel on SIS functionality, scheduling practices, and FTE implications, while supervising SIS coordination functions and supporting staff in data processes and system use.
- Collaborates with the Office of Academics and school leaders to support instructional initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
