Primary Responsibilities and Goals:
- Work with the General Manager to Hire and Train FOH staff
- Help with the Scheduling of all FOH staff according to staffing needs
- Help oversee Events and Large Reservations or Parties
- Respond to inquiries and complaints in a timely manner
- Ensure quality service and a comfortable working environment
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5 years of NYC Restaurant management experience
- Positive attitude, with the ability to work under pressure while remaining patient and polite and ability to maintain grace and composure during high-volume shifts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask, and to work on the fly when the situation arises
- Experience with team-building and ability to solve staff conflict, if and when it occurs
- Ability to work on the floor and be on your feet for extended periods of time
- You must have a current NYC Food Handler certificate, or must obtain one within a month of hire
- A love or passion for food, restaurants and dining
- Some working knowledge of Wine, Spirits and Beer is not mandatory, but would be of great benefit
- Flexible schedule and weekend availability
