Product Manager - Utility Bedding

A home textiles company in NYC is looking for a Product Manager to join their team. This role will work specifically within the utility bedding category (mattress covers, foam toppers, pillows, protectors, etc.).

Responsibilities:

• Own the product development for utility bedding categories
• Oversee product development from ideation through development, launch and post-launch analysis
• Meet sales budget
• Adhere to development calendar and deadlines
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors
• Gather new swatches and ideas partnering with design, brand management and sales
• Ensure all products and suggested vendors are brand approved
• Source and develop new product offerings
• Provide guidelines and product specifications for PD and design
• Ensure product meets sales, pricing and margin goals
• Manage carton sizes, case packs, container fill information
• Communicate with compliance team on new product testing
• Identify packaging needs and communicate details to the packaging team
• Participate in buyer meetings and send meeting recaps to vendors

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or relevant field of study
• 5 years of previous experience in product management or buying line exposure
• Must have utility bedding experience
• Must understand retail cycles
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel) and PLM
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational, negotiation and analytical skills

Salary Range: $100,000-120,000
