Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests in a warm and professional manner, providing an excellent first impression of the restaurant.
- Guide guests through the menu, offering recommendations and descriptions of dishes and beverages, including wine pairings.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests and dietary restrictions are communicated clearly to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately, following proper serving etiquette and presentation standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal, addressing any concerns or special requests promptly and courteously.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including table setup, silverware, glassware, and linens.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up dining areas, restocking supplies, and cleaning up after service.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Stay informed about menu changes, specials, and promotions to provide accurate information to guests.
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in accordance with restaurant
- policies and health regulations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a server in a fine dining restaurant, preferably with knowledge of French cuisine and wine.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and team members.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage menus, including wine pairings and cocktail offerings.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professional appearance and demeanor, with a positive and customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Certification in food handling and alcohol service may be required, depending on local regulations.
