SUMMARY: Provide exemplary customer service while performing a variety of tasks in the store including processing, pricing and cutting fabric for our customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide. Ability to perform these operations using units of American/Canadian money and weight measurement and volume.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. - Greet customers in the fabric department, answer questions and provide information on merchandise, cut fabric as requested.
- Request product information or pricing using appropriate paging methods; and check pricing "codes" on applicable merchandise.
- Open, unpack and price merchandise, stock shelves and assist with signage as directed.
- Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
