What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associates (Full-time & Part-Time) position at Marden's Inc.?
SUMMARY: Provide exemplary customer service while performing a variety of tasks in the store including processing, pricing, and merchandising product in assigned department as well as operating a cash register.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet customers entering the store, answer questions and provide information on merchandise, procedures or policies.
- Ring up customer purchases accurately on cash register and accept payment for purchases by cash, check, credit card, traveler’s checks, credit card or automatic debit cards and provide receipt(s) to customer; bag and/or wrap purchases.
- Open, unpack and price/de-label merchandise, stock shelves and assist with signage as directed.
- Light housekeeping, dusting and keeping department clean.
- Assist with loss prevention efforts, including alerting LP staff as soon as possible of customer/employee theft, tag switching, etc. and of any unsafe conditions including slips, trips, and falls.
- Other duties as assigned.
