Summary
The dispatcher coordinates the utilization of trucks, drivers, containers, and systems in order to create capacity and maximize productivity while assuring prompt and effective service to customers.
Essential Functions

- Schedule services based upon designated routes and locations; updates, prepares, and dispenses the daily route schedule.
- Courteously interacts with customers, drivers, and/or the general public.
- Performs daily driver check-ins at days end to ensure the accurate completion of the assigned routes.
- Conducts customer follow-up and proactively places calls to reported or potential services problems.
- Proactively anticipates customer needs, or problems and communicates concerns with management to provide exceptional customer service.
- Responsible for systems data accuracy and the generation of related productivity reports.
- Communicates all potential problems and related service needs and any incidents to management.
- Assigns driver training and ensures compliance with company safety training plans.
- Answers the majority of inbound calls.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 1 year of prior customer service experience
