Ice Cream Scooper / Cashier

Job Overview:

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Scoop and serve ice cream and other frozen desserts accurately and efficiently to meet customer preferences.
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service and answering questions about menu items.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS for processing transactions swiftly and accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by cleaning scoops, utensils, counters, and work areas regularly.
• Assist in food preparation tasks, including topping stations and packaging orders for takeout or dine-in.
• Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy, including cash register operations and change distribution.
• Support food safety protocols by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm is key!
• Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS is a plus.
• Strong time management skills to handle high-volume periods efficiently.
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift moderate weights, and work in a fast-paced setting.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, sales transactions, and inventory management.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry or grocery store setting is advantageous. Pay: $9.00 - $11.00 per hour (Depending on Work Experience) Tip addition on Hourly rates.
