Responsibilities
- Operate the ice cream truck efficiently, ensuring smooth daily setup, maintenance, and breakdown.
- Greet customers warmly, taking their orders accurately and providing excellent customer service.
- Prepare and serve a variety of ice cream treats, including cones, sundaes, floats, and other frozen desserts.
- Manage food handling procedures in compliance with food safety standards to ensure cleanliness and sanitation.
- Process sales transactions using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, handling cash register operations accurately.
- Upsell additional toppings or products to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace inside and outside the truck, adhering to sanitation regulations.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely for food preparation and storage purposes.
- Manage inventory levels of ice cream products and supplies, restocking as needed.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently while processing retail sales transactions with accuracy.
- Ensure food safety management practices are followed at all times to protect customers’ health.
- Provide quick service during busy periods while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, food handling, or food service environments such as quick service or fast-food restaurants.
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing sales and managing customer orders.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
- Excellent customer service skills with an energetic attitude that engages customers positively.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and follow sanitation standards diligently.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions, and giving accurate change.
