Our company is seeking a professional, customer-focused Security Officers to provide exceptional security services at a prestigious Class A commercial office property in Fort Lauderdale. Our Security Officers serve as ambassadors for both the company and our client by creating a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for tenants, visitors, vendors, and guests.
This position requires individuals who possess a **hospitality mindset**, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build positive relationships while maintaining a visible security presence. The ideal candidate understands that outstanding customer service and proactive security go hand in hand.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide a professional, courteous, and welcoming experience for all tenants, visitors, vendors, and guests.
- Maintain a highly visible presence while promoting a safe and secure environment throughout the property.
- Greet visitors, answer questions, provide directions, and assist with buildingrelated inquiries.
- Monitor building access points and verify visitor credentials in accordance with established procedures.
- Conduct routine patrols of the property, including interior and exterior areas.
- Respond promptly and professionally to alarms, emergencies, disturbances, and requests for assistance.
- Complete detailed and accurate incident reports, activity reports, and daily logs.
- Monitor CCTV systems, access control systems, and other security technology.
- Enforce property rules, company policies, and client procedures in a fair, professional, and respectful manner.
- Coordinate with property management, tenants, emergency responders, and law enforcement when necessary.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, unsafe conditions, or security concerns.
- Assist with emergency evacuations and other emergency response procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding tenants, visitors, and company operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous security, military, law enforcement, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.
- Valid state Class D security license or ability to obtain one.
