What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student and Family Engagement Specialist position at Maple Run Unified School District?
The Student and Family Engagement Specialist will work closely with staff and administration to identify and support students who are most at risk of school truancy and disengagement. They will work creatively and collaboratively with colleagues, students, parents and community partners to increase student participation in school academic and social /emotional programming. A successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to supporting students and families with identifying and problem-solving barriers to school access; possess the ability to take initiative and follow through; have excellent communication and collaboration skills and be able to effectively access and work with community partners.Education and/or Experience: Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work, Counseling or related content area, Masters preferred.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Vermont licensure or ability to obtain Vermont licensure in a related field of study (LICSW, LCMHC, LMSW, etc.). Educators licensure will also be considered.
