What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician 2nd Shift - Walker, MI position at Maple Leaf Farms?
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for general maintenance of all equipment in Eurasia Feather and Down, Inc. facilities.
- Troubleshoot equipment, make repairs or contact outside vendor for assistance.
- Perform preventative maintenance procedures to reduce potential downtime.
- Ensure company property, grounds and surrounding area is properly maintained.
- Manage multiple work projects and maintain work orders.
- Respond promptly to issues in operations to meet production requirements.
- Adhere to company and OSHA safety procedures.
- Dispose of oil, florescent light bulbs, and batteries properly.
- Performs related duties as required if trained or qualified to do.
Job Specifications:
Requires knowledge and experience with general maintenance and communication skills with internal and external customers.
Skills And Abilities:
Knowledge of basic skills in electrical, plumbing, pneumatics and general maintenance aptitude.
Working knowledge of basic mathematics.
Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Ability to troubleshoot general maintenance problems.
Ability to read and follow instructions.
Ability to follow and adhere to safety guidelines.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Knowledge and skills identified are acquired through work experience/training and some technical training.
