Speedrack is a global manufacturer in the rack manufacturing industry. We are seeking a qualified 3rd shift Maintenance Mechanic. Our operations include welding, powder coat paint application, press room operation, roll form mill operation, shipping/receiving, and maintenance. Ideal candidates will be energetic and must possess a desire to succeed.
Job description
- Repair and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
- PMs (preventive maintenance) to all equipment as required.
- Assist Manufacturing with machine processes.
- Upkeep on building and property.
- Review orders in Shop Talk and review workload schedule as assigned.
- Close out orders on Shop Talk when applicable.
- Visually inspection of machines and parts.
- Operate various power tools including (but not limited to) grinders, presses, saws, etc.
- Complete logs and charts on all equipment as required.
- Make recommendations for modification or fabrication of machines and parts.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements
- Requires the ability to read & write.
- Must be able to accurately read a tape measure.
- Ability to successfully pass a written exam and physical observation test for an Industrial Truck Permit.
- The ability to adjust to changing job functions.
- Capable of working well with co-workers of different cultural backgrounds.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years experience in maintenance in a manufacturing facility.
Starting pay rate based on experience.
