Candidate will collaborate with the administrative team to ensure equitable, rigorous, and, engaging learning experiences for all students with special needs, oversee compliance with state mandates and reporting requirements and support and supervise instructional staff and Child Study Team members.

Candidate will collaborate with the administrative team to ensure equitable, rigorous, and, engaging learning experiences for all students with special needs, oversee compliance with state mandates and reporting requirements and support and supervise instructional staff and Child Study Team members.
Performance Responsibilities
- Lead curriculum development within specified subject area.
- Lead professional development reflecting best practices within the discipline.
- Assist in the collection, analysis, use and monitoring of test data for the purpose of improving the content and delivery of the district's Special Education curriculum.
- Lead the supervision and evaluation of teachers in assigned departments.
- Collaborate with the District Technology director in the implementation of effective technological practices within the classroom.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of the annual school budget relevant to curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional development.
- Function as an official liaison to the Board of Education's Curriculum Committee and community as needed.
- Lead the coordination of SGOs and Professional Development Plans within assigned departments.
- Assist the building principals as needed in the development of flexible scheduling for district programming and staffing needs.
- Attend Board meetings, as needed, and prepare such reports for the Board of Education as the Superintendent may request on the status of district programs and services.
- Meet regularly with the Director, Special Services and the leadership team on matters related to curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional development.
- Additional responsibilities as outlined by the Director of Special Services.
- Valid New Jersey Supervisor, Principal, or School Administrator certificate.
- Demonstrated experience in Special Education or Child Study Team leadership.
- Comprehensive knowledge of state and federal special education regulations, including N.J.A.C. 6A:14.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to foster strong relationships with families, staff, and administration.
- Required criminal history background check and completion of all state-mandated documentation.
