Key Responsibilities:

MIG Welder – Dunn $25/hr 1st shift
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in MIG welding and the ability to work with a variety of materials to construct and repair truck bodies. This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail, precision, and a commitment to producing high-quality welded products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG welding on steel materials to fabricate truck bodies and related components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to ensure precise welds and proper assembly.
- Set up welding equipment, including adjusting settings for heat, speed, and amperage to ensure optimal results.
- Inspect welds for quality, ensuring they meet industry standards and specifications.
- Maintain proper weld bead size, appearance, and finish while minimizing distortion.
- Ensure all welds are completed in accordance with safety protocols and company guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including properly handling and disposing of welding materials and waste.
- Operate additional fabrication equipment as needed, such as grinders, saws, and other metalworking tools.
- Troubleshoot welding problems and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure the timely completion of projects.
- Keep track of materials and supplies, notifying supervisors when stock is low.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a MIG Welder (minimum of 3 years preferred).
- Proficient in MIG welding techniques, with experience working with steel.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce clean, accurate welds.
- Ability to use welding equipment and hand tools safely and effectively.
