MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Capabilities Integration Systems Engineer to join our team in Lexington Park, MD. This will be a hybrid position requiring 2-4 days onsite per week.
The Capabilities Integration Systems Engineer will leverage their strong technical background and knowledge to support the Heavy Lift Helicopters Program Office (PMA-261) and the CH-53K Capabilities Integration Team, providing critical systems engineering support including technical research, development of emerging technologies, system analysis, and documentation for new capabilities integration into Block upgrades to the CH-53K aircraft.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
The Capabilities Integration Systems Engineer will leverage their strong technical background and knowledge to support the Heavy Lift Helicopters Program Office (PMA-261) and the CH-53K Capabilities Integration Team, providing critical systems engineering support including technical research, development of emerging technologies, system analysis, and documentation for new capabilities integration into Block upgrades to the CH-53K aircraft.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Provide critical systems engineering technical support to PMA-261’s CH-53K Capabilities Integration Team.
- Conduct technical research and analysis of emerging technologies at lower Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) to create advanced capabilities development roadmaps for presentation to the CH-53K Engineering Review Board.
- Dedicate approximately 75% of your effort to vital pre-work required to neck down emerging technologies and identify material or non-material solutions to fill capability gaps.
- Provide strategic recommendations for the most impactful maturing technologies that bring increased capabilities to bi-annual CH-53K Block upgrades.
- Perform detailed analyses of technology TRL maturation timelines, review Initial Capabilities Documents (ICDs), and evaluate Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) requirements.
- Dedicate approximately 25% of your effort to post-award System-of-Systems integration of various technologies and horizontal integration across Level II Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
- Coordinate engineering change proposals (ECPs), technical directives, and system updates while employing modern systems engineering methods and tools to solve complex problems.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific field from an accredited college or university
- 5 years of recent and relevant systems engineering experience
- Experience identifying, formulating, designing, and testing practical solutions to complex engineering problems.
- Demonstrated experience in the advanced development of technology roadmaps.
- Possess familiarity with Science & Technology (S&T) processes and programs.
- Experience guiding the engineering development of modern complex aviation platforms or helicopter systems.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a current or active DoD Secret clearance or higher
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
- Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
