We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Jr. Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the overall accounting functions of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting principles, experience with various accounting software, and a passion for ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.
Job Responsibilities
Accounting:
- Heavy Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Trouble shooting discrepancies
- Account Reconciliations
- Deposits
- Management of Customer and Supplier credit/debit memo process
- Assist in facilitating month-end and year-end closing.
- Investigate expense variances as needed.
- Prepare journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards
- Conduct account reconciliation tasks including bank reconciliation, account analysis, and general ledger reconciliation to maintain precise financial records
- Special projects
- Payroll Backup - Cross Train to back up Payroll Processes.
Job Qualifications:
- Associates or bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Experience can qualify for degree)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products is a plus
- Must have the ability to pay a high attention to detail
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to prioritize duties in order to manage deadlines
- Must exhibit a high level of confidentiality
- Excellent attention to detail along with strong organizational skills
- Effective communication skills to support team collaboration and financial reporting tasks
Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
