We are currently representing a global manufacturing leader in their search for an Accounting Manager. This high-impact role reports directly to the CFO and offers significant opportunities for professional advancement. We are seeking a candidate with comprehensive full-cycle accounting expertise and a proven track record in managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable Oversight
- Direct and manage day-to-day activities related to Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) operations.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, collections, and reconciliations.
- Monitor AR/AP performance metrics and address discrepancies or processing issues.
- Assist with monthly accounting close processes and financial reporting requirements.
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise and support employees responsible for AR and AP functions.
- Assign work schedules, deadlines, and responsibilities based on department workload and priorities.
- Provide coaching, training, and guidance to staff to ensure high-quality work and professional development.
- Address performance concerns, resolve operational issues, and recommend staffing or procedural improvements.
- Participate in hiring decisions and employee development initiatives
Process Management & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain current knowledge of accounting procedures and relevant federal and state regulations.
- Implement departmental procedures and service standards in alignment with corporate policies.
- Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive financial information.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with other departments to resolve billing, payment, and operational issues.
- Coordinate with leadership and other supervisory teams to improve financial processes and efficiency.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial policies, procedures, and account issues.
Inventory & Operational Support
- Support inventory oversight and procurement processes, including MRO and OEM supplies.
- Monitor inventory-related financial activity and assist with budgeting and financial planning.
Reporting & Analysis
- Review financial records and operational reports to monitor departmental performance.
- Provide insights into financial activity and contribute to budget planning and forecasting.
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain compliance with corporate standards for business conduct and applicable regulations.
- Foster a positive and respectful work environment that aligns with company culture and values.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- (Equivalent work experience may be considered)
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of accounting or finance-related experience
- Experience supervising or leading accounting staff preferred
- Experience with AR/AP processes, financial reporting, and accounting operations
